Davante Adams sparks Aaron Rodgers reunion rumors with tweet

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has sparked rumors regarding a potential reunion with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, thanks to a tweet late Wednesday night.

Adams' response came after he opened up to answer "15 questions" from his fans on Wednesday.

With Derek Carr headed out of town, the Raiders are in the market for a new quarterback this offseason. Rodgers may be saying goodbye to the Packers as well, opening the door for a possible move out west.

In December, the four-time MVP said that he and Adams still talked weekly, showing that they remain close nearly one year after the wideout's trade to Las Vegas.

Adams had a huge debut season with the Raiders, posting a league-leading 14 touchdown receptions and finishing third in receiving yards with 1,516. The Fresno St. product was named First Team All-Pro for the third straight season and made his sixth consecutive Pro Bowl as well.

Rodgers, meanwhile, had an underwhelming campaign in his first year without Adams. The two-time reigning MVP finished the season with a 64.6% completion percentage (his lowest since 2019), fewer than 4,000 passing yards (3,695) for the first time since 2017 (when he played only seven games) and his 12 interceptions were his most since 2008 (his first season as a starter).

While Rodgers and Las Vegas could seem like a fit, and Adams could push for the move, there are certainly other contenders for the 39-year-old, notably the New York Jets. Speculation of Rodgers joining "Gang Green" had already been rampant for weeks, if not months, before New York's hiring of Nathaniel Hackett (the Packers former offensive coordinator) as their next offensive coordinator last week sent the rumors into overload.

NFL fans are now waiting to see if either Adams' or Hackett's connection to Rodgers brings the future Hall of Fame quarterback to their respective team.
