Davante Adams speaks out against low placement on Top 100 Players list: 'I almost threw up'

NFL Network's Top 100 Players is guaranteed to stir up plenty of controversy and oftentimes, the players themselves will speak out against their low placement on the list. And the latest player to voice their displeasure is Packers receiver Davante Adams, who said the list's absurd inaccuracy has left him feeling ill.

Adams was once again one of the most dominant receivers in the NFL last season, gaining almost 1,000 receiving yards despite missing four games. However, it was not enough to earn him a spot in the top 50, as he landed at 57. It clearly didn't sit well with Adams.

"Honestly, I OFFICIALLY dont believe the players made the list this year lol I almost threw up last night when I saw where Keenan was then Im 57 today...Im off the casa azul tonight," Adams tweeted.

Adams is also referencing Chargers receiver Keenan Allen's low placement on the list, as he was voted 77th despite 1,199 receiving yards and six touchdowns for the season. Allen expressed his own annoyance with the list, declaring himself the best receiver in the AFC West, saying he is better than Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

On the one hand, getting too worked up about a list like this can seem a little silly, but at the same time, it's hard to understate just how bad this list is year after year. Even the biggest Todd Gurley fan in the world would have a difficult time arguing that he was a better player than Allen and Adams last year and yet, he managed to earn a higher spot on the list at 51.
