It's no secret that the Bengals are hoping to upgrade their defense in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Radio analyst Dave Lapham has correctly predicted Cincinnati's first round draft pick many times over the past decade. He revealed his prediction on the latest episode of the Bengals Booth Podcast.

"My first would be Andrew Booth if he's there and then Kaiir Elam if Andrew Booth's not," Lapham told Dan Hoard. "If they're both gone, I don't know what I'd do at that point. I'm not sure I'd stay with the corner position at that time. I think I might move on."

Lapham mentioned Washington cornerback Kyler Gordon as a trade down candidate. He also said that taking Purdue edge rusher George Karlaftis would be a "no-brainer" if available. Karlaftis is expected to be a top-20 pick on most boards, but would be a favorite if he fell to the Bengals.

Lapham wasn't the only one that shared his prediction. Hoard revealed named four players in order.

"Booth if he's there, followed by Elam if he's there," he said. "Followed by Linderbaum if he's there and then the fourth choice if they don't trade down would be Gordon."

Hoard and Lapham share a ton of great information outside of their predictions. Listen to the entire episode below.
