Tight end David Njoku had a revolving door of quarterbacks in his ninth season with the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland had three different starting quarterbacks throughout the year, with Shedeur Sanders (3-4), Joe Flacco (1-5) and Dillon Gabriel (1-3) all producing losing records. Combined, the team went just 5-12 and finished fourth place in the AFC North for a second straight year.
Njoku, a one-time Pro Bowler, appeared in 12 games and made 11 starts. It was a down year for the tight end, hauling in 33 receptions (lowest since 2020), 293 yards (lowest since 2020) and four touchdowns on 48 targets.
However, his time with the Browns has officially come to an end. Njoku previously confirmed via an Instagram post that he will not be returning to Cleveland for the 2026 season, posting a heartfelt goodbye.
For the first time in his career, the 29-year-old is a free agent and able to sign with whichever team he chooses. The Sporting News' Vinnie Iyer predicts Njoku will land with the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens have undergone several big changes throughout the offseason, which include replacing long-time head coach John Harbaugh with Jesse Minter. Baltimore has also seen several veterans walk in free agency. One of the biggest is tight end Isaiah Likely landing with the New York Giants.
Likely had a similar amount of production as Njoku in 2025, with 27 receptions for 307 yards and one touchdown. Njoku could replace Likely as the Ravens' No. 2 tight end behind Mark Andrews, who had the second-most targets (70) last season of any Baltimore pass catcher.
The former Miami Hurricane isn't expected to break the bank either. Spotrac projects that Njoku's market value will earn him a two-year, $19.9 million contract.
