DB Kareem Jackson Retires
USA TODAY Sports via Reuters Connect

Kareem Jackson is calling it a career. The Broncos announced that the veteran defensive back has decided to retire as a member of the organization.

The announcement doesn’t come as a huge surprise. For starters, Jackson hasn’t seen the field since the 2024 campaign. Second, he joined Denver’s front office in 2025, starting as a personal assistant before earning a promotion to area scout.

Jackson’s connection to the Broncos goes beyond his current gig. The defensive back played four-plus seasons for the organization, where he started all 69 of his appearances. Before his time in Denver, the former first-round pick had a nine-year stint in Houston, where he ranks second in franchise history in interceptions (16), passes defended (88), and solo tackles (469).

Jackson returned to the Texans during the 2023 campaign, getting into a pair of games. He joined the Bills in 2024 and spent most of his final NFL season on Buffalo’s practice squad.
