DB Logan Ryan joins Giants on one-year deal

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Monday that free agent defensive back Logan Ryan signed a one-year deal with the New York Giants. Per Rapoport, the contract is worth $7.5 million.

Ryan, a New Jersey native, confirmed the news via Twitter:

One of the top players on the open market heading into the final day of August, Ryan earned a pair of Super Bowl rings while with the New England Patriots. The 29-year-old spent the last three seasons with the Tennessee Titans, and he tallied four interceptions, 4.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and 113 total tackles with Tennessee in 2019.

Today's news comes less than a week after Giants rookie safety Xavier McKinney fractured the fifth metatarsal on his left foot. It's unknown if McKinney will play this season.
