Stephon Gilmore is certainly a lot closer to the end of his playing days than the beginning, but he still brings it every game. It’s been an illustrious career for the 33-year-old, earning two first team all-pro selections, five pro bowls, a defensive player of the year award, and a Super Bowl.

Those type of accomplishments have all but clinched his eventual induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Gilmore had a surreal moment on the field at AT&T Stadium on Thursday night. He encountered a GOAT and got an outstanding complement. Well Off captured the scene as an excited Gilmore approached Coach Prime on the field. I can only imagine how Stephon felt after hearing Prime say “I came here to see you!”

A very cool moment, followed by a fourth quarter Cowboys comeback. It was a good night for Coach Prime.

The Dallas Cowboys acquired Gilmore last March through a trade with the Indianapolis Colts. When Ezekiel Elliott departed the team a few months later, an opportunity presented itself for Gilmore to wear a number that was near to his heart.

Gilmore told The Athletic this summer he was stoked at the prospect of wearing Deion’s number.

“It’s cool, a lot of great players have worn this jersey number and represented it well, and I’m going to try to do the same.”

Sanders and his family were on hand to watch Gilmore and the Cowboys pull off a victory over the Seattle Seahawks in the Thursday Night Football special. It was a key win for Sanders' former team in the NFC playoff hunt.
