Denver Broncos get big-time news at OTAs that will be key to an improved 2025 season

No one really expected the Denver Broncos to be a wildcard team in 2024, and no one really expected them to have the best pass rush in the league, either.

One of their keys to getting even better in 2025 is keeping this defense at an elite level, but also making it even better than it was last year. And, that's very possible, especially when you factor in what they added in free agency with the two former San Francisco 49ers players that they added, and who they drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft.

And then you can factor in the players that missed the majority of last year, and that they will be getting them back for the 2025 season.

Alex Singleton suffered a season-ending ACL tear in his left knee during the first quarter of their Week 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season. The injury occurred on a non-contact play while blocking during an interception return by teammate Brandon Jones, though Singleton remarkably played all 57 defensive snaps, recording 10 tackles. He reported knee soreness after the game, and an MRI later confirmed the torn ACL, leading to his placement on injured reserve and surgery in October 2024.

Now, miraculously, he looks to be ready to go for OTAs. Singleton is maybe the best on-ball linebacker that the Broncos have, and he can even play off-ball if they really need him to. Denver will need him, too, in 2025 if they really want to make that big jump that everyone is expecting them to make.

Singleton brings some leadership and energy that they will be desperate for in 2025. He is relentless and a master of Vance Joseph's system. So, yes, I'm sure fans and media seeing him at OTAs after an ACL injury was something that they should definitely be excited about.
