Denver Broncos Interested in Acquiring Sean Payton's Favorite Player

Ever since Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton commented that the offense needs a "joker," many have speculated about what that means and who would fit that role.

When Payton coached the New Orleans Saints, he had plenty of players who could be viewed as jokers.

However, one player was the epitome of a football joker. That was Taysom Hill, a QB/TE/RB still on the Saints roster, who is rumored to be a target for his former coach with the Broncos.

Despite getting older, Hill had a great season when given opportunities last year, posting 187 yards on 23 receptions and 278 yards on 39 carries.

He has a knack for fighting for extra yards and rattling off big plays occasionally when the defense least expects it.

Given that Hill is coming off a torn ACL and is in the final guaranteed year of his contract, he seems likely to be a cap casualty, especially since the Saints need cap space to improve and get younger.

That means the Broncos should be able to snag him for cheap, assuming he would be happy to play for his former head coach again.

Denver struggled to run the ball and didn’t receive production outside of Courtland Sutton, so adding Hill to contribute in both areas makes sense.

While he may not be a huge name, Hill is definitely someone who can help the Broncos’ offense.
