The Denver Broncos are looking to take the next step with the team after making the playoffs in quarterback Bo Nix’s rookie season. The team made a move on Monday to bolster the roster for the next handful of years. Let’s take a closer look at what happened with the Denver Broncos in order to make them look solid heading into the future.

Denver Broncos Extend WR Courtland Sutton

The Denver Broncos have been looking to solidify the offensive side of the field and have agreed to a four-year, $92 million contract extension with wide receiver Courtland Sutton, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He is coming off a strong season where he appeared in all 17 games (13 starts) and had a career-high 81 receptions on 135 targets for 1,081 yards (13.3 yards per catch) with eight touchdown catches. It appears there is a connection between him and quarterback Bo Nix and with Nix on a rookie deal, this contract expires the same season that the quarterback’s fifth-year option concludes.

This should continue to make the Broncos’ offense excel, and having an outstanding coach in Sean Payton, this should continue to make Sutton a top target in the league. Sutton has had success throughout his seven-year career thus far with the team and has made a Pro Bowl back in 2019. He is going to need to provide as a WR1 with Marvin Mims Jr. and Devaughn Vele projected to be in the starting lineup.

It will be interesting to see how the Denver Broncos look heading into the 2025 season in a loaded AFC West.
