Denver Broncos show that they are more than confident in the youth of their defensive line

The Denver Broncos have an abundance of young defensive ends on their team. But, that's normal, a lot of teams do. However, in this case, it feels like they can all play. On both sides, the left and right, the Broncos have two defensive ends each that are capable of starting games and being productive.

And, get this, they are 26, 26, 25, and 21. So, they are young and are only going to grow more and more. That's why it was crucial they trade away Baron Browning, a defensive end you could say was a bit of a log jam at the position.

After trading Browning away, the Broncos made another move that may fly a bit under the radar. It wasn't a trade or any roster transactions. Instead, they showed that they are very, very confident in this young nucleus of players at the defensive end position.

According to Mike Klis of Denver Nine News, the Broncos signed Jonathon Cooper to an extension of four years worth $60 million, with $33 million in guarantees.

Cooper has 5.5 sacks, and you could really argue six, in nine games for the Broncos, and is a huge reason why this defense is as good as it is. He deserves this contract.

The Broncos are coming off of a loss to the Baltimore Ravens, and are set to play the Kansas City Chiefs this week, and then the Las Vegas Raiders next week.
