The Denver Broncos are at the stage where they have already completed their rebuild, as it's obvious by a playoff appearance last season. Now, it's just about making your team better and improving every single year until you compete for a Super Bowl.
And so, that includes adding some players that most people probably don't know about -- the practice squad and depth guys. If they feel like someone can help make them better, they will do it. And, they have an undrafted free-agent rookie.
We've signed TE Caden Prieskorn.

Caden Prieskorn is a tight end who went undrafted in this last draft but signed with the Detroit Lions afterward. The 6'5", 255-pound TE started at Memphis as a walk-on quarterback before becoming a tight end, so you could imagine he is pretty good at seeing what the defense is presenting him with. Other greats like Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, also started their college careers as QBs.
He had 48 catches for 602 yards and seven touchdowns in 2022 at Memphis. At Ole Miss, he had 57 receptions for 850 yards and seven touchdowns in 23 games, ranking third among Ole Miss tight ends in career receiving yards. His standout game was the 2023 Peach Bowl, earning MVP with 10 catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns.
His size and catching ability are strengths, but at 26, his average athleticism lowered his draft stock. You can make the case, though, that he has better tape than the tight end that the Broncos drafted. With 112 college catches for 1,521 yards and 14 touchdowns, he’s a candidate for Denver’s practice squad or a backup role. And, who knows, in training camp, he could make a push for a 53-man roster spot as a backup tight end if all goes well.
The Broncos are simply just trying to get better, and believe it or not, a signing like this one helps.
