Career Projection: Good backup with starter potential

Scouting Report: "Sai'vion Jones offers a strong blend of athletic traits and decent production (at least in his last year for LSU). He spent the first three seasons with LSU as more of a part-time contributor, but he more than doubled his pressures in 2023 to respectable levels. Sai'vion was good at taking advantage of his surroundings, understanding where the ball is most likely be going on a number of plays on film for LSU. He's big enough to slide into 4i or 5-tech roles along the defensive line if necessary, but will most likely slot into a team's rotation of pass rushers alongside their backups." - A to Z Sports' Travis May

The Broncos already have a very strong defensive line after leading the league in sacks in 2024, but need quality depth beyond the 2025 season as Zach Allen, John Franklin-Myers, and Malcolm Roach are all entering the final year of their contracts. 

It is unclear if Jones will fit in as an interior defensive end or outside linebacker, but either way he should bring some pass rush prowess. Jones is the second defensive player that Denver has drafted so far, following the selection of cornerback Jahdae Barron in the first round.
