Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders will take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Southern California Monday night.
This represents a huge divisional game for the 3-0 Raiders and 2-1 Chargers. It’s also the first matchup between the two rivals at the new SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles with fans in attendance.
In talking about said game and the environment he expects, Carr seemingly trolled both the Chargers and their fan base.
“Whether it was in Los Angeles at that soccer stadium or at Qualcomm in San Diego, it was another home game,” he told reporters. “You always looked at it as another home game, and that was no disrespect, it’s just a fact.”
Here are Carr’s full comments.

As much as this seems to be a troll job from Carr, he’s not necessarily wrong here. When the Chargers were forced to play in Carson as their new stadium was being built, opposing fans took over the stadium in a big way. That was also the case in San Diego.
It’s also not a secret that the Raiders are the No. 1 NFL team in Los Angeles. That distinction doesn’t go to either the Chargers or Rams.
As for Carr, he heads into Week 4 leading the league with 1,203 passing yards and has thrown six touchdown passes compared to two interceptions for a Raiders squad that’s 3-0 for the first time in 19 years.
