Derrick Henry says ‘he’s not done playing in the NFL,’ lays out his biggest goal in the pros
Andrew Nelles / The Tennessean / USA TODAY NETWORK

He may not be with the Tennessee Titans next fall, but Derrick Henry is not done with the National Football League.

The 30-year-old has not hit the proverbial wall at running back.

He has a lot left in the tank, regardless of the hits he’s taken in his eight-year career. Henry produced five 1,000+ yard rushing seasons for the Titans, including 1,167 yards rushing in 2023 with 12 touchdowns. He has 9,502 rushing yards and 90 touchdowns in his career, making him second all-time in franchise history for yards and first for touchdowns.

He did a lot for the Nashville area, but Henry is in search of something bigger.

He explained it on the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast with Taylor Lewan.

“I want to win a Super Bowl,” Henry said. “I ain’t done playing. I ain’t even close to done playing.”

Shaun Alexander, a close friend to Henry and former Alabama player, would love to see the 2015 Heisman Trophy winner with the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson. We will see where he ends up, but Henry is adamant about not being done with the game.
