Derrick Henry is primed for another career season. However, there is now an added incentive that will motivate him even more.
During an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show, the Baltimore Ravens running back admitted that Adam Sandler is his favorite actor.
"Hey, can you do me a favor. If you ever see him again, tell him I'm a really big fan," Henry told Patrick. "I'd really love to meet him one day."
However, Patrick had a better idea.
"You know what I'm going to do. I'm going to text him today and ask if he'll send a video and then I'm going to send it to the Ravens," he said. "And, if you get to 2,000 yards, I'll get you in a Sandler movie.
"Alright, say no more," Henry responded. "You remember this."
"I'll take care of my end of it," Patrick added. "I mean, mine's easy. Yours is hard. You have to get 2,000 yards. No pressure."

Patrick made a deal: Rush for 2,000 yards again this season, and he’ll get Sandler to put him in a movie.

Sandler has been promoting his new movie, "Happy Gilmore 2," which happens to feature another prominent figure in the NFL. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will have a role.
“Travis, we’re gonna have fun, because the scene you’re doing is with so many great golfers,” Sandler said during an appearance on the New Heights podcast. “It’s gonna be amazing. You’re gonna be funny as hell.
Plus, Sandler gave Kelce the ultimate compliment at the "Saturday Night Live" 50th anniversary celebration when asked if he could rate Kelce's performance.
"A 12," he exclaimed
"Funny as hell, funny as hell! No kidding, unbelievable," Sandler added.
But, after this movie, it might be Henry's turn.
