With the Cleveland Browns holding the No. 2 overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft, significant changes could be on the horizon for their roster this season. This comes after starting quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a re-tear of his Achilles tendon during the offseason, following the original injury that occurred in the middle of last year’s regular season.

Watson's tenure with the Browns has not gone as expected or hoped. However, the former star QB shared some major personal news on Sunday. He and his longtime girlfriend, Jilly Anais, announced their engagement. The couple has reportedly been together since 2019.

"Mrs. Watson Loading…" the post from Jilly and Deshaun read.

Watson commented on the post, adding "MORE GLORY" and "My Queen."

According to TMZ , the two met in Los Angeles when Watson was still playing for the Houston Texans and was regarded as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL at the time. Since that moment, Watson signed one of the largest contracts in NFL history with the Cleveland Browns after requesting a trade from Houston amid a series of controversial sexual misconduct scandals.

Watson's deal with the Browns was for five years, $230 million, fully guaranteed. He now has just two years remaining on the contract and will likely not see much, if any, action during the 2025 season as he rehabs his injury.

Yet, on a positive note, the team was able to restructure the deal this offseason, clearing roughly $35.8 million. This played a key role in the Browns being able to re-sign star pass rusher Myles Garrett to a massive long-term deal, as the team looks to rebuild its roster and get back to competing in the AFC and the AFC North—something they haven't been able to achieve under Watson's time with the franchise.
