Deshaun Watson ranked No. 32 among NFL starting quarterbacks

Fox Sports recently released a list ranking the 32 starting quarterbacks in the NFL. Cleveland Browns starting QB Deshaun Watson was ranked last at number 32.

Fox Sports’ Henry McKenna wrote that, in his opinion, it could be a bad season for the Browns. McKenna feels that things could have been much better for the Browns if they had made a different decision at quarterback:

“This should go down as one of the more agonizing seasons for a Cleveland QB, not just because Watson will be bad. Browns fans are trained sommeliers of bad QB play. No, it’ll be because the Browns might’ve been able to be competitive if they hadn’t committed to Watson again.” (via Fox Sports)

Deshaun Watson given citation for speeding

Deshaun Watson is dealing with a speeding citation days before the Browns’ season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Watson was pulled over in Cleveland on Aug. 26, the day before the final preseason game, reportedly driving 86 mph in a 60 mph zone.

The incident adds another bit of attention around Watson as he prepares to begin the season as Cleveland’s starting quarterback, surrounded by controversy and outrage from fans. Neither Watson nor the Browns have publicly addressed the citation so far.
