Deshaun Watson Reacts To Browns Acquiring Jerry Jeudy

The 2024 season is expected to be a critical one for Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson .

That's why wide receiver has been discussed as one of the teams biggest needs this offseason, as Cleveland hopes to provide Watson with a full toolbox of weapons for next year.

The Browns took a major step towards that on Saturday with news that they had traded 2024 fifth and sixth round picks to Denver to acquire 2020 first-round pick Jerry Jeudy . As news of the deal made waves on social media, Watson provided a stamp of approval via X after he was tagged in a post featuring a gif of Jeudy doing Watson's signature celebration.

The "arrow" celebration has been one of Watson's go-to celebrations throughout his football career, dating back to his college days at Clemson. Under NFL rules, the celebration is technically no longer allowed for "mimicking a weapon." That didn't stop Watson from endorsing his newest weapon, as he should.

Cleveland's wide receiver room is now headlined by two Alabama products in Amari Cooper and Jeudy. The group is rounded out by Elijah Moore , who the Browns acquired via trade last offseason, as well as 2022 and 2023 third round draft picks David Bell and Cedric Tillman .

Jeudy is coming off a disappointing season that saw him haul in 54 passes for 758 yards and two touchdowns. The downslide came after the best season of his career in 2022, where he caught 67 passes for nearly 1,000 yards and six scores.

As Watson looks to reclaim his elite form from the first four years of his career in Houston, Jeudy could help that cause. The Browns certainly seem to think he will.
