The NFL will release the full Detroit Lions schedule sometime on Wednesday evening. For now, we know that Lions fans will be spending the holidays with their favorite team.
Not only will the Lions be playing on Thanksgiving this year, but they'll be playing on Christmas, too. They're taking on the Vikings on Christmas Day on Netflix. We thought they were taking on the Vikings on Thanksgiving, too, but Fox's Jordan Schultz got his holidays mixed up.
Misread a text. Was Christmas for Vikings/Lions.

It happens, I guess. Christmas will still be a big deal for the Lions and Vikings. Your mom might not be too happy about it, but hey, it's a big deal.
As we know, the Lions have played on Thanksgiving since the game became an NFL staple in the 40's, but what about Christmas?
The Lions have played two Christmas Day games. One in 1994 against the Denver Broncos. A game they lost 27-20. Then they did it again in 1999. They lost 17-7 in that one.
