The Detroit Lions had several changes to their roster this week, as several wideouts went down due to injury.
Wideouts Avery Davis and Jason Moore were added to the roster, while Denzel Mims was waived with an injury designation, ending his 30-day stint in Motown.
Lions head coach Dan Campbell indicated this week that the third offensive tackle position remains a wide-open battle.
“Well, I would say that right now, it’s open,” Campbell said, prior to the start of joint practices with the Jaguars. “It’s open, and those guys knew that coming in here. And, I think that (Matt) Nelson and (Germain) Ifedi are just going back and forth. I thought Nelson’s had a pretty good camp, but I think Ifedi played pretty good in this game last week and he’s played a lot in this league.”
