The NFL will release the Detroit Lions' schedule on Wednesday of this week. Sadly, the Lions aren't the Eagles, because if they were, we'd know a quarter of their schedule already.
We may not know a single game yet, but we do believe the Lions should be all over the primetime landscape this year. Why wouldn't they be? The Lions had six primetime games last year, and they were all pretty good games. Plus, they were obviously 15-2. Everyone is going to want them, right?
According to announcer Joe Buck, that's exactly what's going to happen
"Yeah, I mean, you're gonna see the Cowboys and you're gonna see the Chiefs and you're gonna see the Lions. All of a sudden, every network wants the Lions, which is how, you know, to their credit, they've turned it around. He (Troy Aikman) and I used to do Thanksgiving in Detroit every other year. It's like, 'Oh my god, we're in Detroit.' Now it's like, 'Oh my god, we're in Detroit! We get to watch the Lions!' But you're going to see them. Those are probably the three teams you'll you'll see maybe a couple of times. We're hopeful."
We got a sneak peek at the 2025 MNF lineup with Troy Aikman and Joe Buck -- which will include the @Eagles at the @packers on November 10th!

We're going to find out pretty soon how many prime time games the Lions can get, but with every network "wanting them," that could mean Monday Night Football on ESPN, Sunday Night Football on NBC, Thursday Night Football on Prime, maybe Christmas on Netflix, Maybe they wind up on Peacock for something. Who knows?
The max for primetime games is six. Lions hit that last year like we said, will they hit it again this year? It kind of sounds like it, but we'll see on Wednesday.
