The Miami Dolphins-De’Von Achane situation appears to be getting darker by the day. The running back, 24, will enter the final year of the four-year, $5.4 million rookie deal he signed with the AFC East in 2023.

Achane has looked to extend his stay with the team, but nothing has materialized so far. It seems that Achane is losing his patience, and his latest social media activity might suggest that he is done with the team.

On Monday, NFL aggregator Dov Kleiman shared a clip of Achane’s Instagram Live session. He went on and just sat there, not moving or saying anything.

Miami Dolphins, De’Von Achane Not Close to Reaching Contract Extension

Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald reported on Sunday that the Dolphins haven’t made up their mind about De’Von Achane and other players’ contract extensions.

“Tailback De’Von Achane, inside linebacker Jordyn Brooks and Tyrel Dodson, and center Aaron Brewer are all entering the final season of their contract, and therefore seek extensions. The Dolphins are aware, and have discussed it with each. But no deals are close, sources say,” Kelly wrote.

Achane put up a show in 2025, racking up 1,838 yards from scrimmage and 12 touchdowns. He became the best offensive player for the Dolphins, but the team might not be ready to honor his contributions with a new contract. They won’t trade him away, either.
