Did Dalvin Cook tip his hand about where he plans to sign?

It’s no secret that free-agent running back Dalvin Cook has a strong list of suitors vying for his services.

With multiple offers reportedly on the table, Cook has slow-played things over the last month as he and his agent have been in no hurry to sign a contract. But during an interview with “Good Morning Football” on Friday, the 27-year-old RB may have let the cat out of the bag regarding where he plans to sign.

"I think they're pretty high," Cook said of the odds he signs with the New York Jets. "I think we're in the position of a team that's building something special, and I want to be part of something special as a player. And I want to add to whatever they got going on. I think the possibility is high, right now, of getting things done."

Cook is currently in New York for a scheduled visit with the Jets this weekend.

A little under two weeks away from turning 28, Cook stated that he’s at a point in his career where he wants a Super Bowl ring, and because of newly acquired quarterback Aaron Rodgers, he believes the Jets afford him that opportunity.

Rodgers even agreed to a restructured contract with the Jets that saves the team approximately $35 million and gives them more flexibility to add more free-agent help like Cook.

"When you look at it, you always want to be around a great QB, you always want to be around somebody you can pick his brain and just learn from,” Cook added. “[Rodgers] is a four-time MVP. So, just being around a guy like that you can learn a lot more and just develop as a player. That's what I'm looking to do."

In addition to Rodgers, the Jets also revamped a lot of their roster. The team added more firepower at receiver (Allen Lazard, Mecole Hardman, Randall Cobb), offensive line (Joe Tippmann, Carter Warren) and defensive line (Will McDonald IV, Quinton Jefferson, Al Woods).

Cook, a four-time Pro Bowler, has rushed for more than 1,100 yards each of the last four seasons while scoring 43 touchdowns. Among RBs, Cook ranks second in rushing touchdowns and carries (1,075), third in rushing yards (5,024) and sixth in receptions (170) and receiving yards (1,399) since 2019.

Per Spotrac, Cook’s estimated market value is $8.7M, and he’s projected to sign a two-year contract worth $17.5M when he finally picks a team.
