Dion Dawkins sends loud message to Bills front office on how to bring Myles Garrett to Buffalo

Dion Dawkins is one of us. All of Bills Mafia is waiting for Brandon Beane to make a big splash to bring in an elite defender. Everyone knows it, including the other 31 teams. At this point it's just about finding a dance partner that he can agree on a price with.

Dawkins has his mind clearly set on one elite talent, appearing on Good Morning Football and making it clear that he wants Beane to go get Myles Garrett. He didn't hold back.

"Well, with knowing big baller Beane — his name is big baller Beane for a reason, you know, [Terrel Bernard] just got the big baller [with his next extension], you know, I think with knowing the ownership, knowing the Pegulas, knowing McDermott, knowing Beane, knowing the team, knowing the ages of Josh [Allen], the ages of me, the ages of the dynamic of our team — [the front office] understand what's going on," Dawkins began, alluding to the fact that the championship window is now.

Dawkins went on to say that he doesn't ever want to take shots at the front office, but said they need to do what they can to free up money, mentioning restructures, and even going so far as to say that he'd be willing to make room in his own contract that he signed just last offseason. So why does he want the front office to move money around?

"I want the guy with us. I want to win. Josh wants to win. The guys want to win. And you know, I'm my own speaker for saying that I want Myles [Garrett], but I want Myles with us," Dawkins said. "I play against the guy. I know what type of character he is. I know what type of player he is. I know the type of fear he brings on the football field. and with a team that we have, if you have a couple of extra star pieces like that, I'm telling you, it's a drastic game changer."

What Dawkins is saying echoes everything that we've heard this offseason, from Beane to McDermott. It's also not the first time he's been vocal about wanting Garrett in Buffalo. Beane has said that he's not afraid to deal, and McDermott has said that in order to win championships, you need to have two to three true difference makers on each side of the ball. This team is so close to cashing in. One big move, which is much easier said than done, could make all the difference.
