Disgruntled San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl WR Deletes Social Media Account After Taking Jab At Team
Scott Galvin-USA TODAY Sports

A member of the 2023 San Francisco 49ers NFC Championship team made a few interesting posts this month that received a lot of attention from fans. The free agent wide receiver recently deleted his account.

Willie Snead IV called out the San Francisco 49ers for entitlement

As previously discussed on GH, Willie Snead IV posted a shot on his X account at his previous two stops, the Carolina Panthers and 49ers:

While [Arik] Armstead, a veteran team favorite on the defense, had a problem getting paid by the front office, Snead had the opposite problem in San Francisco. On his X account, Snead wrote the 49ers have an “entitlement” issue in their locker room. He hinted they don’t let players compete for playing time:

All I want is to go back to a team that isn’t afraid to let guys compete for a roster spot. These last 3 years been nothing short of entitlement… Competition breedz Champions, Snead wrote.

Snead wants to play in the AFC North

A few days later, Snead followed that post by writing that he wanted to join the AFC North for the upcoming season:

Snead knows where he wants to go next. Snead posted another message on his X account telling the NFL world he wants to play for the AFC’s black and blue division:

“I need to be back in the AFC North. That brand of football is just different,” Snead wrote.

Snead deleted his X account

Not all of the comments to Snead’s posts were nice, especially from 49ers fans who didn’t appreciate his comments about San Francisco.

It’s unclear why Snead deleted his X account. His Instagram account is still active. However, X claims the account no longer exists.
