Even on an off week, the New Heights found a way to stir up some controversy.
The popular podcast hosted by Jason and Travis Kelce won't release a new episode on Wednesday, instead planning a "Best Of" installment to share. In that spirit, the New Heights Instagram account released a video montage of the brothers arguing over food.
Jason took a harsh stance against two divisive candies. Two years ago, the Philadelphia Eagles center condemned candy corn in the strongest terms.
"Candy corn is disgusting, Travis," Jason declared. "And the only people that have candy corn are psychopaths and grandmothers."
The topic arose when Jason attacked Peeps during a 2023 episode around Easter.
"Peeps are one of the most overrated candy in the history of candies," Jason said.
Travis simultaneously made the case for and against the polarizing marshmallow candy by calling Peeps "pure sugar." Jason placed Peeps and candy corn in the same tier of gross, overhyped treats.
"If Peeps made eggs, they'd make candy corn," he said, "and they'd both be the most overrated holiday f****** candy."
During that argument, Jason drew an exasperated head-shake from Travis by calling Kinder Bueno his favorite candy. He called the chocolate bars "fantastic."
Jason dived into more controversy by proclaiming Hi-Chew gummies superior to Starbursts. The seven-time Pro Bowler said he discards the yellow Starbursts.
That wasn't the last time Jason attacked candy corn. Earlier this year, he called it a "piece of s*** candy" when debating holiday treats with Kylie Kelce on his wife's Not Gonna Lie podcast.
"It doesn't have a taste," Jason said of candy corn.
And no, Jason didn't forget about Peeps during that conversation. He later called them "trash."
"They're terrible," Jason said. "Just get a good marshmallow. Don't get this dry, s****y marshmallow ... It's a bad candy."
The recent Instagram post contained an arguably more controversial stance from Jason, who insisted that pineapple belongs on pizza. He and Travis also debated whether Waffle House is considered a diner or a fast-food establishment.
