NFL fans, especially Philadelphia Eagles fans, had a lot to say regarding Jalen Hurts' rating in the new installment of EA Sports' Madden NFL. The iconic video game saga continues to draw more hype year after year, and after an entertaining 2024 season, many people were eager to see how high or low their favorite players would be rated.
Coming off a Super Bowl run, where he took home MVP honors after the championship game, many thought it was a given for Hurts to be at least a top-five quarterback in Madden 26.
The video game's official Instagram account shared the list of the 10 best quarterbacks in this year's edition, showing that Hurts isn't even a member of the 90 rating club. Hurts is the eighth-best quarterback on the list with an 86 overall rating.

Many fans took issue with this rating and called out the people behind the video game for disrespecting the quarterback.
"Jd [Daniels] and hurts should be 90 plus at least, wtf is this EA," one fan said.
"notice hurts isn’t in the top 5," another fan commented.
"Super Bowl mvp not breaking 90 is crazy work," a third fan added.
"Hurts should be at least a 93 the disrespect crazy," a fourth fan said.
"How TF is Jalen Hurts not at least a 90?!??This is way beyond disrespect at this point!" a fifth fan questioned.
"The SB champion Jalen Hurts is Disrespectful showed up in 2 SBs games make it right 95***," a sixth fan said.
After leading the Eagles to their first Super Bowl victory since the 2017 season, Hurts still has doubters around the league. Before EA Sports tagged him with this rating, former NFL MVP Cam Newton dismissed Hurts' case as a top-10 quarterback in the league.
On the other hand, he was ranked the ninth-best quarterback by executives, coaches and scouts, according to ESPN, after several years of being added as an honorable-mention selection.
Ranking Hurts among the best quarterbacks on the list has become polarizing. Even after winning a Super Bowl, some insist he needs to prove his value outside of having a super team in Philadelphia.
Despite his impressive run with the Eagles, Hurts' rating didn't change from Madden 25 to the newest version of the video game. Ahead of the 2024 campaign, he was ranked eighth among quarterbacks (86 OVR) behind Mahomes (99 OVR), Jackson (98 OVR), Burrow (93 OVR), Allen (92 OVR), Dak Prescott (90 OVR), Tua Tagovailoa (88 OVR) and Herbert (87 OVR), respectively.
At the end of the season, he held an 87 rating. Leading his team to a dominant run to the Vince Lombardi Trophy only hurt his chances to rank higher on this list.
