DJ Turner II Notes Chide Awuzie's Influence During Rookie Season: 'Everything'

DJ Turner II has earned some extensive experience early on in his NFL career and is capitalizing on it with solid play. The Bengals rookie cornerback discussed how Chidobe Awuzie—a guy he's had to fill in for at times—has helped him throughout the first half of the season.

Turner (63.9) is the eighth-highest graded rookie cornerback in the NFL by Pro Football Focus this season (min. 100 snaps).

In every category, I mean, recovery, to playbook, to in-game to off the field, everything, really everything," Turner said about what Awuzie has helped him with as the veteran passes down his knowledge. "So that would be No. 1 for sure."

According to Rich Hribar, Turner's part of a defense getting takeaways on a league-high 22.9% of opponent possessions over the past three games.
