GLENDALE – One of the dark horse NFL contenders for the 2025 season is quickly becoming the Arizona Cardinals. After a sensational free agency and draft, the team has retooled its defense, while the Kyler Murray led offense is primed to make a postseason run for the first time since 2021. Fans and analysts could see it happen, and now sportsbooks are starting to buy into the hype. Cardinals insider Kyle Odegard posted on X that Arizona’s betting odds to win the Super Bowl have increased from 66/1 to 50/1.
Despite still being longshots, the massive shift of odds means that bettors are starting to put serious money on the franchise to at least make some noise next season. In 2024, the team’s preseason betting odds was 125/1, with the year prior being 200/1. General manager Monti Ossenfort spent over $100 million this offseason on defensive players like Josh Sweat, Calais Campbell and Dalvin Tomlinson, which has made massive difference in the team’s odds.
Arizona is a +125 to make the playoffs and +450 to win the NFC West division, both the highest odds in the past few years. How head coach Jonathan Gannon and his roster handle the higher expectation has yet to be seen. The team’s preseason opener against the Kansas City Chiefs will be a litmus test for how the team responds to pressure early on.
