Does Chad Johnson want to coach with the Eagles?

Former All-Pro wideout turned television analyst Chad Johnson might have his eye on another career change.

With news that the Philadelphia Eagles could be in the market for a wide receivers coach, Johnson lightheartedly threw his name into the running via social media.

It's more likely that Johnson is simply having some fun and doesn't have a coaching itch that needs scratching. However, he might not be the worst choice for the job. Johnson, a veteran of 11 NFL seasons, earned six Pro Bowl nods and was twice an All-Pro. Meanwhile, he ranks among the top 50 all-time in receptions (42nd, 766) and receiving yards (40th, 11,059). Plus, he's stayed close to the game, breaking down the league as a personality on "Inside the NFL."

Whether Johnson is an actual candidate or not, wide receivers coach is one of several positions the Eagles need to fill this offseason. While the franchise ultimately decided to ride things out with head coach Nick Sirianni despite a brutal late-season collapse, most of the staff underneath him wasn't so lucky.

Already, the team has moved on from offensive coordinator Brian Johnson and defensive coordinator Sean Desai. After bringing in former Miami Dolphins DC Vic Fangio to run the defense earlier this week, it looks like the Eagles have also decided on a new OC.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Eagles are hiring former Los Angeles Chargers and Dallas Cowboys OC Kellen Moore as the team's new playcaller. In Moore's only season with the Chargers, the offense struggled and ranked 21st in the NFL. However, in four seasons in Arlington, the Cowboys offense fared much better.
