Does DeAndre Hopkins Want Revenge?

Kansas City Chiefs receiver DeAndre Hopkins has already developed into a key weapon for Patrick Mahomes as the franchise hunts for a third successive Super Bowl title.

Having been traded to the Chiefs by the Tennessee Titans, there was a thought that being a mid-season acquisition, it would take the All-Pro time to get adjusted to Andy Reid's system.

But being the professional he is, Hopkins hit the ground running and developed a good wavelength with Mahomes straight away.

Now, as he gears up to face his former team, the Houston Texans in Week 16, how is DeAndre feeling in Reid's offense?

“I feel good,” Hopkins said. “The coaches they do a good job of allowing me to go out there and play free and learn the offense. They did a good job of that when I first came in, just teaching me the little things. Obviously Pat [Mahomes] as well but I mean I feel good about it.”

Hopkins has made no noise about wanting "revenge'' against his first employer in Houston. But obviously, good numbers today would be sweet.

Now with an abundance of weapons that includes Travis Kelce, Hopkins, Juju Smith-Schuster, Xavier Worthy, Noah Gray, Kareen Hunt, and Isiah Pacheco, the offense has the ability to put up points.

But this season it has felt a little disjointed, which is odd for a 13-1 team, but Kansas City has made its living in 2024 by winning close games (10-0 in one-score games).

Mahomes stated that it will serve his team well come the playoffs given the tight and tense nature of postseason football, and Hopkins will experience only the fifth postseason of his career, and its one he hopes will end with his first Super Bowl ring.
