Dolphins' Chris Grier Makes Concerning Announcement Ahead of NFL Draft
Jim Rassol/The Palm Beach Post / USA TODAY NETWORK

It's a bit surprising that Chris Grier still has a job with the Miami Dolphins. Over the past few years, Grier has made many of the wrong decisions, and as a result, the Dolphins find themselves in one of the more interesting positions around the NFL.

Heading into the NFL draft, there's no excuse for him not to make the right moves. The Dolphins have many needs, whether it's on the offensive line, defensive line, wide receiver room, or anywhere else; Miami has many questions.

However, his recent announcement doesn't sound too promising, with Grier admitting that he's not perfect and that no general manager in the NFL is.

“Would I say I’m perfect?” Grier said, per the Miami Herald. “No, I’m not. There’s no GM that’s perfect, but working with our scouts and our coaching staff and what we do in the scheme that they believe in and finding the fits for players is always important and it’s been a pretty smooth process the last couple years.”

While there's some sense in his comment, Grier needs to have some confidence and show the Dolphins fan base that he can get the job done. This fan base is sick and tired of him making excuses for why the team isn't playing up to its ability.

Grier, who should be on his last rope with the Dolphins, continues to get an opportunity to build this team. If the plan is for them to rebuild in the near future, he should’ve been long gone before the draft.

With the draft approaching in a few days, there's now no chance that the Dolphins move on from him before it.
