Dolphins Draft Profile – Denzel Boston, Washington
Ever since the Miami Dolphins traded Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos, they have been active in interviews with draft prospects. This article will discuss a recent “Top 30” interview with the team’s Washington receiver, Denzel Boston.
One of the better receivers in this class, Boston has become a real target at pick 30 for the Dolphins. He has posted back-to-back seasons with over 60 receptions, as well as scoring 20 touchdowns over that same span. His best work is done on deep developing routes with the ability to go up and grab the football at the highest point.
Boston is officially 6 feet 4 inches tall, helping solidify his projection as a powerful deep threat in the NFL. With a wingspan of over 77 inches, Boston’s highlight reel of catches is seemingly ready to jump to the pro game.
The biggest issue with Boston’s game has been his ability to wiggle at the stem of routes. This is further deemed an issue with his lack of explosiveness in the athletic testing drills, such as the vertical jump and 3-cone drill.
Despite these blemishes on his film, many people view Boston very highly, including NBC football reporter and former NFL quarterback Chris Simms, who has him first on his list of receivers. I also view Boston as a top-tier receiver in this class, directly behind Ohio State’s Carnell Tate. Denzel Boston is a long strider with insane tracking ability when the ball is in the air. He has also done decent work within screens and yards after contact.
Boston has also consistently been a good run blocker on the boundary.
The 22-year-old finished the 2025 season with an 88 grade from Pro Football Focus. After meeting with the Miami Dolphins, there is a high chance he is a target for them with one of their first-round picks, likely pick 30. He joins Makai Lemon in the bucket of receivers that have been thoroughly studied by the Dolphins’ new regime.
Boston would instantly be the best receiver on the Dolphins and one of the few true “X” receivers Miami has taken in the draft in the last decade.
My pro comparison for Denzel Boston is former Miami Dolphin receiver Devante Parker, who was one of the best contested catch receivers in the NFL when healthy.
