The Miami Dolphins have given Zach Sieler a big 3 year contract extension worth up to $67.75 million with $44 million guaranteed.
Josh Moser of WSVN-7 broke the news of a new deal being done last week on the DolphinsTalk.com Podcast, and it was just a matter of time before it was announced.
The Dolphins and Sieler announced it this evening.
Sieler had no guaranteed money on his contract beyond this season and wanted a new contract to have long-term financial stability that he had earned.
Sieler is coming off back-to-back 10-sack seasons with the Dolphins and is one of the leaders on the team. He will be 30 in September.
The Dolphins claimed Sieler off Waivers on December 5, 2019, and since day one, he has had a huge impact on the Dolphins’ defense.
For the Dolphins, he has played in 85 games, starting 65 and he has 30 sacks during that time.

This season, with all of the comings and goings on defense, Sieler is the leader of that side of the ball and a team captain.
He will be leaned on to produce on the field, but also be a mentor to 1st round draft pick Kenneth Grant.
Zach Sieler will have a re-worked deal or an extension by Week 1 of the Regular Season per @TheMozKnowz

Sieler was a 7th-round pick by the Ravens out of little-known Ferris State in 2018. He only played in six games with the Ravens before they released him and Miami claimed him.
In 85 games with Miami, he has 310 tackles and 49 tackles for loss.
