Dolphins in wait-and-see mode for Terron Armstead injury diagnosis

While it’s still not good news, the Miami Dolphins appear to have avoided losing left tackle Terron Armstead for the remainder of the season.

Armstead, who suffered a pectoral strain in Sunday’s 30-15 win over the Houston Texans, will likely miss some games but should return before the end of the regular season, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

“He makes everybody better,” backup tackle Greg Little said of Armstead, via USA Today. “He’s elevated our games. That’s why we look up to him.”

It’s the second time Armstead has dealt with a pectoral injury in his career. He missed five games in 2018 as a member of the New Orleans Saints before returning in Week 16. He played 100 percent of the Saints' offensive snaps in their two playoff games that season.

Armstead has dealt with injuries in every season of his 10-year NFL career. The oft-injured lineman has missed 38 games since becoming a full-time starter in 2014. Armstead has been listed on Miami’s injury report for the last 10 weeks after suffering a toe injury against the New England Patriots in the season opener, missing Week 6’s matchup with the Minnesota Vikings after consulting a specialist regarding the toe injury.
