They will not be ready any time soon to return to practice. Sounds like this is going to go into the regular season for both of them.
The Miami Dolphins have two joint practices with the Detroit Lions this week, then play the Lions in a preseason game on Saturday at 1 pm Eastern time. The game will not be aired live on the NFL Network; fans outside of South Florida (and Detroit) will have to sign up for NFL+ to stream the game live.
Lions LB Grant Stuard had some interesting thoughts about the upcoming joint practice with the Dolphins this week. (credit to Alain Poupart for finding this quote that was out there)
“I don’t know if they’re ready, I’m gonna keep it a stack. I’ve played at other places and played against that team last year, and joint practiced against that team twice when I was in Tampa. I don’t know if they practice how we practice. I’m excited to see our guys for sure, and I’m excited to get out there and do something against somebody else, who doesn’t know every in and out of what we’re doing.”
