Dolphins make more changes to coaching staff on Thursday

All four coaches are assistants and not positional coaches.  Ricardo Allen is the most noteworthy of the group.   He was a safety with the Atlanta Falcons from 2014-2020 before catching on with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2021, playing in Super Bowls LI and LVI.  He came on board with the Dolphins in 2022 as a special teams quality control coach before moving over to an offensive assistant for the 2023 season. 

Mike Judge came to the Dolphins in 2019, holding various different positions on offense before serving as an offensive assistant in 2023.  Kolby Smith joined the Dolphins in 2020, serving as a quality control coach helping the running back group before moving over to serve as an offensive assistant in 2022.  Brendan Farrell came to the Dolphins in 2019 and served as an assistant special teams coach. 

The moves aren't earth shattering ones, but it's interesting that the three of the four coaches are on the offensive side of the ball.  It begs the question if the offense's performance had anything to do with it. 

Regardless, the Dolphins will have a few more vacancies that they can fill to help McDaniel, Frank Smith, and the rest of the offensive staff try to help the Dolphins' talented offense find another gear in 2023.
