Dolphins Move on From Assistant GM Marvin Allen

NFL Insider Dianna Russini reports the Dolphins have moved on from Assistant General Manager Marvin Allen.

He joined the Dolphins in 2019 as the assistant GM under Chris Grier.

The wording “moving on” is a nice way of saying he was fired, as the Dolphins front office is going in a new direction under the leadership of Jon-Eric Sullivan.

Anyone tied to Chris Grier or who was one of Grier’s allies seems to be getting ushered out of Miami.

On November 10, 2025, about ten days after Grier was fired, the Miami Dolphins fired co-directors of player personnel Adam Engroff and Anthony Hunt.

Engroff started with the Dolphins in 2015 as a college scout. A year later, he was named director of college scouting, a title he held until 2018. In 2019, he was named co-director of Player Personnel.

Hunt’s time with the Dolphins goes back to 1994.

Expect Jon-Eric Sullivan to bring in all new people to fill the key roles in Miami’s front office.

When it comes to the scouting department itself and your area and region scouts, expect Miami to keep everyone in place until after the draft, since the majority of the legwork has already been completed.

But the day after the draft or the week after the draft, expect Miami to move on from many of the scouts as Sullivan brings in more of his own people.

The Dolphins wasted little time removing all mentions of Marvin Allen from the team’s official website as they had scrubbed his bio page and it is no longer there mere moments after this news became public.
