The Miami Dolphins' 53-man roster has had some last minute shuffling today. There's a new addition courtesy of Miami's successful waiver claim for JuJu Brents from Indianapolis. There's reportedly a return in line for offensive tackle Kendall Lamm, too. The work continues — but Miami has also begun to undertake the process of stocking up players for their 2025 practice squad.
The practice squad additions thus far sport a number of familiar faces, both from 2025 training camp & Miami's preseason campaign and from years past alike. Practice squad players are eligible to be elevated onto the game day roster three times during a stint on the unit — and the Dolphins have already set a plan in place with their short-term replacement to Jason Sanders to do exactly that. General manager Chris Grier stated on Wednesday that the team planned to elevate kicker Riley Patterson for the first three games and evaluate his performance and Jason Sanders' rehabilitation from there.
That's just one of the names Miami has locked into place, however. The practice squad can accommodate a grand total of 16 names. Here are the reported additions thus far to the Dolphins' 2025 practice squad.
