Dolphins React to Tyreek Hill News on Tuesday

Star wide receiver Tyreek Hill had an underwhelming 2024 campaign with the Miami Dolphins, largely due to an early-season injury to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The Dolphins struggled to recover offensively, and it showed throughout the season.

Hill briefly voiced his frustrations during the offseason, even hinting at a potential departure from Miami. However, that sentiment quickly faded, and he now enters the upcoming season highly motivated—at a time when the Dolphins are under mounting pressure to return to the postseason.

After back-to-back seasons with over 1,700 receiving yards in 2022 and 2023, Hill managed just 959 yards and six touchdowns in 2024. Despite the dip in production, the NFL announced Tuesday that Hill was ranked No. 47 on the NFL Top 100 list—a surprising drop considering he entered the 2024 season as the league’s No. 1 ranked player.

"Cheetah checkin' in at 47 of the #NFLTop100," Dolphins posted.

Tyreek Hill, now 31 and heading into his 10th NFL season, still has two years remaining on his current contract with the Dolphins. Recently, he emphasized that his offseason focus has been entirely on football and family, highlighting a renewed commitment to both.

"That's why this year, this whole entire offseason, I've been busting my tail," Hill said. "I told my dad, I said, 'I want to see what it looks like whenever I focus just on football, and I just focus on myself and family. Because I feel like I really haven't been giving the best version of me, of Tyreek, my whole entire career. ... I just want to see what that version of myself looks like. I'm looking forward to it."

Hill spent the first six years of his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs and was a key contributor to their Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers in 2020.

Over the course of his career, he has recorded 798 receptions for 11,098 yards and 82 touchdowns. Hill has topped 1,000 receiving yards in six different seasons and has scored at least six touchdowns every year of his career.
