But, despite the visit, Douglas didn't end up signing a deal with Miami. He walked away from Miami without a deal, and is now reportedly visiting with the Seattle Seahawks. 

Douglas would be a solid signing for the Dolphins, as he has eight years of starting experience in the NFL, including playoff experience with the Eagles in 2017, the Green Bay Packers in 2021, and the Bills in the past two seasons.

Across his 80 starts in eight seasons, Douglas has 19 interceptions, three pick-sixes, three forced fumbles, two sacks, 441 combined tackles, and 23 tackles for loss.

During his NFL career, Douglas has been a solid outside cornerback. For the Dolphins, with the looming Ramsey trade and the lack of depth on the roster, Douglas would be the perfect addition to the secondary.

The Dolphins' current cornerback room of Storm Duck, Cam Smith, Kader Kohou, Artie Burns, and Marshall Jr. isn't good enough. Even if Ramsey were included, the cornerback room would still be in need of an upgrade. But with Ramsey likely to be traded, the Dolphins desperately need outside cornerback help.

However, this report from Jackson isn't a good sign in the Dolphins' pursuit of an outside cornerback. With Douglas leaving Miami without a deal and visiting another team, the Dolphins are seemingly out of the Douglas sweepstakes.

Adding an outside cornerback is a top priority, and losing out on Douglas would limit the Dolphins' options. While Douglas isn't officially off the table, the meeting ending without a contract is reason for concern for the Dolphins.
