Dolphins Request Permission to Interview Anthony Campanile

Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reports the Miami Dolphins have asked permission to interview Anthony Campanile of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Campanile was the Dolphins’ linebackers coach from 2020-2023, and had the memorable moment captured on Hard Knocks where he went on a profanity-laced tirade trying to motivate the team.

Campanile left Miami and went to Green Bay, where he worked with current Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan.

And from there, he went to the Jaguars to be their defensive coordinator.

He has only been a coordinator on the NFL level for one year.

For those who listen to the DolphinsTalk Podcast, you know this is my #1 AVOID AT ALL COSTS candidate for the Dolphins.

IF not for the Hard Knocks Tirade, nobody would know who he is, and he has only 1 year of experience as an NFL coordinator.

Miami just moved on from Mike McDaniel, who they made a head coach with only one year of experience as a coordinator.

In my opinon that is not enough experience and not what the Dolphins need right now.

I am not against a first-time head coach, but people like Jesse Minter and Jeff Hafley have better resumes and are more equipped to be an NFL head coach at this time.

We will see how this plays out, though.
