The agent for free agent CB Cornell Armstrong went on social media to say his client has signed a 1-year deal with the Miami Dolphins.
Armstrong was a 6th-round pick by the Dolphins in 2018 and was in Miami for only one season.
In his one season in Miami in 2018, he played in 15 games and had eight tackles.
He has also played for the Falcons, Texans, and Raiders. Armstrong hasn’t played since the 2022 season.
His last season in 2022 with the Falcons, Armstrong played in 9 games, starting 4, he had 33 tackles and 7 passes defended.
The Miami Dolphins are signing my client Cornell Armstrong (CB, Southern Miss) to a one year deal. 8-year vet is returning to the team that drafted him in 2018.

With Artie Burns having an ACL injury yesterday, the Dolphins, which were already thin at cornerback, needed help.
Many expect the Dolphins to look to acquire more cornerback help throughout camp, whether via trade, or players let go by other teams, or possibly signing a CB who is still on the open market and available.
Currently, Miami has Cam Smith, Storm Duck, Ethan Bonner, and Kader Kohou at the cornerback position to go with rookie Jason Marshall Jr. and some unproven rookies.
