Dolphins Sign WR Jalen Tolbert

The Miami Dolphins have signed WR Jalen Tolbert to a 1-year deal. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed at this time.

Tolbert is 27 years old and was a 3rd round pick by the Cowboys in 2022.

He has played in 55 NFL Games, starting 30, and has 10 career touchdowns and 152 career receptions.

In 2025 for Dallas, he played in 13 games, started 8, had 18 receptions for 203 yards and a touchdown.

In 2024, he had 7 receiving touchdowns, played all 17 games, started 15, and had 49 receptions for 610 yards.

The Dolphins signed WR Tutu Atwell on Thursday, and now, with the addition of Tolbert, they have put some weapons next to Jaylen Waddle and Malik Washington.

I still believe Miami will look to add a wide receiver in the first three rounds of the NFL draft, but now that it has Tolbert and Atwell, who are capable NFL WR’s who have experience, there is no rush to take one if a quality one isn’t there in those early rounds.

Jon-Eric Sullivan said at the combine he would like to add a wide receiver with some size to his WR room, and Tolbert is 6’1″, which is about average to slightly above average height for a WR, so I wouldn’t be shocked to see Miami look for a bigger WR, or maybe a pass-catching tight end that has above normal height.

Both Atwell and Tolbert are fast guys who have 4.4 speed.

Put them next to De’Von Achane, Jaylen Waddle, and Malik Washington, and the Dolphins offense is very explosive.

Especially when you factor in the plays Malik Washington can make with his legs.
