Dolphins Sign WR Tutu Atwell
The Miami Dolphins have signed free agent WR Tutu Atwell to a 1 year deal, per Adam Schefter.
Terms of the deal have not been released at this time.
Atwell is 26 years old, born and raised in Miami, and was a 2nd round pick of the LA Rams in 2021.
He is only 5’9″, so he is on the smaller side, but he has been a productive NFL WR since entering the league.
He has played in 64 games, started 27, and has 105 receptions, for 1,535 yards and 5 touchdowns.
This past season in LA, he played in 10 games, started 4, and had 6 receptions for 192 yards and a touchdown. He missed games as he was on IR with a hamstring injury.
In 2024, he had 42 receptions for 562 yards.

The Dolphins’ WR room needs help badly, and Atwell does give them a veteran presence to play next to Jaylen Waddle.
He is small, and Jon-Eric Sullivan said at the combine that he wants to bring some size to the WR room, so I expect Miami to continue to add to this group.
With Waddle, Atwell, Malik Washington, and Taj Washington, the Dolphins have speed, but they do need some size to have a well-rounded group.
But for the Dolphins’ salary cap limitations, being able to land Atwell on a 1 year deal, looking for him to bounce back after a disappointing 2025, is a solid addition to this offense.
