Dolphins Stock Up/Stock Down Report: Dolphins vs Panthers Recap
Week 5 of the regular season is in the books, and the Miami Dolphins fall to 1-4 after a horrible loss to a very bad Carolina Panthers team. The Dolphins got up early, 17-0, and were running away with this game before they totally fell apart. They let the Panthers come back, Miami answered and took a lead with about 4 minutes left, only to let the Panthers score and win the game.
Here is my Stock Up/Stock Down report.
Darren Waller: The Hot streak continues as he had another touchdown today and made multiple big catches in this game.
De’Von Achane: With Hill’s time in Miami over, you can make the case that Achane is Miami’s best player on the roster. The touchdown reception in the corner of the endzone in the 2nd quarter was a thing of beauty.
Jake Bailey: Not sure where this guy was the past two seasons, but he has turned into a superstar punter this year, and today was maybe his best game of the season.
Eric Collins (FOX TV Play by Play Announcer): This guy was incredible. This was a game played by two bad teams, nobody outside of friends, family, and fans in those specific cities cared about, and Collins treated this game like it was the Super Bowl, and brought energy and excitement to this game. He can call every Dolphins game from here on out!
Jonah Savaiinaea: I’m sorry, he stinks. I hate to say that about a rookie just five games into the season, but he is awful. Should he be playing on the right side instead of the left, as he did in college? Maybe. But that is just an excuse. Right now, this kid looks lost out there and doesn’t look like an NFL player.
The Rest of the Dolphins’ Offensive Line: I know we have some injured and out players, but that is no excuse. This offensive line stinks and really hurts this offense more than Tyreek Hill not being out there.
The Dolphins’ Defensive Line: This unit may be worse than the offensive line. Miami is so soft in the trenches. Every opponent we have played this season just double-teams Zach Sieler, and nobody else on Miami’s front four can make a play.
