On Monday, June 30th, the Miami Dolphins pulled off a stunning trade. They sent Jalen Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers for All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and a fifth-round pick.
The deal was stunning, not for Ramsey being involved, but for the return and Smith being a part of the deal. After the trade went down, Dolphins superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill shared a reaction on X.

Hill's reaction is clear. He's sad to see Ramsey go, and also feels like there's nothing left around him. While an exaggeration, the emotions aren't too far-fetched.
The Dolphins sent both Ramsey and Smith, massive contributors over the past two seasons, in one trade. They've also lost Calais Campbell and Terron Armstead in the offseason. Overall, a lot of turnover has happened for Miami, and this blockbuster deal is another ripple in the organization.
While Hill portrays himself as alone, the Dolphins still have a few stars around him on offense. Tua Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle are the two obvious stars, while DeVon Achane is also developing into a star.
Part of what makes this Ramsey trade hurt more for Hill is that just a week prior, Hill had mentioned he wanted to do everything he could to keep Ramsey in Miami. But the Dolphins were steadfast in their decision and sent Ramsey to Pittsburgh for an interesting return package.
After trading Ramsey, Hill remains behind as the last member of the Dolphins' massive offseason plans under Mike McDaniel. It's been a busy offseason for the Dolphins, and Hill's reaction to the Ramsey deal is a representation of how plenty of Dolphins fans feel.
All of the moves have left the Dolphins' roster feeling empty. While there is still time to add, and Fitzpatrick is coming back in the trade, the Dolphins roster isn't the same without Ramsey off it.
