Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill Speaks Out On Facing The Chiefs

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill will make his return to Arrowhead Stadium when his team takes on the Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday.

While Hill is excited to see his former mates, he is remaining focused.

“I’m ready, man. It’s just another game,” said Hill, according to Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN. “I’m just excited to play against my old brothers. It’s just like if you’re in high school and you move to a different city, it’s still ball. At the end of the day, my job is to go out there and do what I’ve been doing all year, and that’s have fun, help lead this team and create opportunities for whoever.”

Hill spent the first six years of his career with the Chiefs between 2016 and 2021 before being traded to the Dolphins in March 2022.

During is time in Kansas City, Hill put together quite the resume, making six trips to the Pro Bowl and earning three First-Team All-Pro selections. In addition, Hill helped lead the Chiefs to two Super Bowl appearances and won championship.

The 29-year-old, who played his collegiate football at West Alabama, was originally selected by Kansas City in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He was primarily a special teamer during his rookie campaign, racking up three special teams touchdowns in his first season. Then, the following year, Hill broke out as a receiver, catching 75 passes for 1,183 yards and seven scores.

During his debut season in Miami, Hill hauled in 119 receptions for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns, earning another Pro Bowl appearance as well as another First-Team All-Pro selection.

Through eight games in 2023, Tyreek Hill leads the league in both receiving yards (1,014) and receiving scores (eight).

The Dolphins and Chiefs are both 6-2 heading into their Week 9 clash.
