It seems more of a matter of when than if for the Miami Dolphins to trade cornerback Jalen Ramsey. According to reports, the Los Angeles Rams have shown interest, but nothing has come to fruition.
The Dolphins eventually will have a decision to make on Ramsey, who many expect to be traded before the start of training camp.
However, the Dolphins must be careful letting a veteran of his caliber walk. Even if it's for locker room morale, Ramsey brings a ton to the table. He's a tough-nosed cornerback and one of the Dolphins' better players.
Speaking to reporters about what the Dolphins are doing, veteran Zach Sieler said that he supports Ramsey, but ultimately, it isn't his decision on what happens.
"Jalen Ramsey is a great player," Sieler said, per the Palm Beach Post. "I mean, obviously everyone knows that. What he's done on the field these last years has been nothing but amazing, but that's not my decision, that's not my realm. I don't know what happened there."
Sieler added that he hopes whatever happens in the future works out for both sides. For the Dolphins, they'll have to hope that this isn't one of the 100-plus moves they've made wrong over the past decade.
"I know that I look forward to the best for both parties," Sieler said. "I mean the Dolphins and Jalen. I hope that he ends up where he is going to be able to best serve his abilities. And the Dolphins are going to be able to do what we're able to do at the best of our abilities from this whole thing."
